Trump’s golf course and golf club in Baywood, New York, closed after ‘federal fire’
A federal fire caused the closing of Donald Trump’s Baywood Golf Course and Club on Friday.
The Washington National Fire Protection Agency said the fire broke out in a trailer park adjacent to the golf course.
The Trump National Golf Club, in suburban D.C., suffered $8 million in damages, and the Baywood Club was damaged by water damage, the agency said.
The golf course was closed for six weeks.
The Associated Press reported that the fire was likely caused by a propane-fueled propane tank.
The White House has not commented on the incident.
Trump owns several golf courses in Washington.
His daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner have been staying at Trump’s properties.
