Hunter Greene says he’s ready to be a Hunter Greene

Greene, who will turn 27 on July 11, has been a big part of the Bulldogs’ success this season and will be a key cog in their attack.

“I don’t really want to talk about it.

I’m not really thinking about it, I’m just focusing on my game,” he said.”

It’s not about me having the best game or the best year.

It’s about me just doing the best I can and just being myself.

That’s the best thing.

I’ll be here as long as I can be here.”

Greene’s career was marred by a series of injuries and he played in just six games in 2015.

But he has returned to form, with four goals and 10 assists in his last two matches.

“When I first got hurt I was really frustrated, I was in a funk, really.

I just couldn’t really play,” he explained.”

But I came back and I started playing really well and I was pretty much able to come back into the team.

I was just trying to be aggressive.

It was really difficult, but I’m back and ready to go and I just need to focus on myself and just try and play the best that I can.”

Greenee has been linked with moves to Adelaide and Gold Coast, but the Bulldogs are keen to keep him in the area for a long time.

“He’s just got that big heart, he’s a really good person and he wants to be part of this football club, I think,” Head Coach Luke Beveridge said.

“He will be an asset to us for a while, he will be here for a little while, and he’ll hopefully be around for a few more years.”

Greenes’ father Paul is a former rugby league player who played for the Gold Coast Titans and was a key figure in the club’s successful premiership era.

“As a family we’ve been pretty good, he really is a really positive person,” said Greene.

The Bulldogs’ attack continues to be one of the club-leading in the competition.

And while the club won’t be going into the weekend without its best players, it does have some serious depth to offer.

Injured star Tom Lynch is yet to be cleared for the Bulldogs clash with the Roosters.

But, as always, the club will be keeping its eyes on the stars ahead of the clash.
